| Friendship Garden Fundraiser | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Beth Chauncy had the idea of the Friendship Garden to help raise money to renovate the buildings at the Center. The idea is that if a person donates $75 or more to the Center, they can honor someone by having their name engraved on a brick. The bricks will make up a patio in a flower garden. The timing was right to do the garden. It has been really amazing to see community members rally around the idea and get others involved in donating money and services. God's hand has clearly been in the way that materials, gravel, equipment, large stone, expert leadership in laying the slab, help, and finances have been provided. It is so great to have new roofs on these buildings! We needed to raise $40,000 to put new rubberized roofs on the buildings. About $17,000 has been raised from the Friendship Garden. Future funds generated from the Friendship Garden will be put in a general renovation fund. Future projects: Heating in Main building, restoring the Theater, Electrical modifications. Thanks to God and all of you who have been a help with this fundraiser! |
